EF Midlands 2021 – Cancellation

By February 25, 2021No Comments

Dear Friends,

After a really tough summer last year and a slightly more hopeful autumn, we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel Elderflower Fields Midlands 2021.

We’ve been continuing to plan and holding out hope for bringing the festival to Stanford Hall in early June. However, as the pandemic has rumbled on, it’s become increasingly obvious that the risks are just too big for us to continue this year. Sadly, we now have to accept that it is in the best interests of everyone involved that we once again postpone the launch of Elderflower Fields Midlands. We are so grateful to you for buying your festival tickets early and for holding onto hope of a festival this year. We’re devastated that it didn’t work out.

Right now, it is our strong hope that we will return in 2022 to launch Elderflower Fields Midlands at Stanford Hall during the summer half term. Of course, we have another summer season to get through first, but we are optimistic and excited to finally bring our award winning family adventure to a new audience. We promise it will be worth the wait!

We are and have always been independent. For us, this means a truly family focussed festival, free from pressures to buy stuff and full of wonderful activities and performances, deeply connected with nature, which will inspire and entertain kids. We’ve resisted pressure to commercialise or grow the size of the event in recent years because we believe it makes for a more positive and transformative experience for kids.

All 2021 Midlands ticket holders will receive an email fully outlining the process for rolling tickets forward to 2022, receiving refunds or transferring tickets to Elderflower Fields South, which we have rescheduled to later in the summer. Please keep an eye on your inboxes and junk mail folders. As always, refunds are available to those that need them, but if you are able to hold onto your ticket you will be supporting Elderflower Fields as an independent, family organisation at this difficult time.

Please note, at this point, our original festival in Sussex, Elderflower Fields South, is still taking place on a rescheduled date in July. This cancellation is only in relation to our Midlands event.

Further information is contained in the email to ticket holders and on our FAQs page here, so please do read that carefully.

We’ll confirm dates and announce further details about the Elderflower Fields Midlands 2022 festival later in the autumn. In the meantime, thank you once again for your support. Look after each other and we wish good health to you and your families.

With love from the Elderflower Fields team.
